Baking Maps is an essential part of the process of any 3d asset creation pipeline. So I wrote a custom tool to bake Normal, Diffuse, Alpha(custom), and displacement maps quickly and efficiently. The main goal while creating this tool was to save time for artists by removing the need to define Target and source mesh, and defining the format of the map every time the artist needs to bake maps. The tool simply requires the artist to select a Target and source mesh to bake the maps.
For this demonstration, I am using a Chamfered Cube with 2 Segments beveled on all edges. The cube contains 6 materials, one for each side. Each side has different transparency level as well. The details and other maps will be baked onto default cube.
